Vietnam War Memorial (poem)

By Ken Sauvage

[Printer-Friendly Version]

I want to crawl into this black stone,
returning;
try and find the truth written there
before I get any older
and you forget
but the spit shined granite
gives up only the names
and a dark reflection
of my face.
